Iron Fist Alexander, the giant living jar, is one of the most beloved non-playable characters encountered throughout the Lands Between. First Encounter and Freeing Alexander in Northern Limgrave
You first encounter Alexander stuck in a hole along the cliffs of Northern Limgrave, near Saintsbridge. Hearing his distress calls guides you directly to his location above the main pathway. Helping him requires hitting him from behind with a heavy strike or weapon until he pops out of the ground.
Once freed, Alexander expresses his gratitude and rewards you with the Triumphant Delight gesture along with Exalted Flesh. He then mentions his plan to travel east toward Caelid to attend a grand combat festival. This initial interaction sets his entire adventure in motion.
Reencountering the Warrior Jar in Caelid and Beyond
Alexander can later be found resting near the Site of Grace inside Gael Tunnel on the border of Limgrave and Caelid. Eventually, he arrives at Redmane Castle to participate in the Radahn Festival. You can summon him during the intense boss battle against Starscourge Radahn to assist in combat.
After Radahn's defeat, Alexander stays in the battlefield area to gather remains and bolster his inner strength. Exhausting his dialogue here causes him to move toward Liurnia of the Lakes, where he gets stuck once more. To free him this time, you must craft an Oil Pot to make him slippery before striking him.

Defeating Alexander in his final duel awards players the powerful Shard of Alexander talisman along with Alexander's Innards.
